Ask most locals and they will tell you that Melbourne is the place to live.
Despite the usual sky scrapers and feel of an Australian city, Melbourne is remarkably different from the other Australian cities and a total contrast to Sydney. Melbourne is home to some of Australia’s best attractions. Here are some places and things you can visit and do in your Melbourne trip.
Queen Victoria Market – Queen Victoria Market is more than just Melbourne’s shopping Mecca – it’s an historic landmark, a tourist attraction and an institution for Melburnians.
Experience Eureka Sky Deck – Located alongside the Yarra River and in the heart of the city, the Skydeck 88 offers Melbourne’s tallest observation deck with 360 degree views of the city, and the world’s only “edge” experience.‘The edge’ allow you to enter a glass cube which extends 3 metres out from the building, providing extraordinary views across Melbourne.
Federation Square – Designed as a public civic centre and meeting place, Federation Square links Melbourne’s central business district north of the Yarra River to the river itself and the gardens and parklands across the river.
Melbourne Aquarium – Melbourne Aquarium is a state-of-the-art facility, housing more than 10,000 animals. Home to some of the most feared and most loved animals of the deep blue, the aquarium allows visitors to experience them up close.
Crown Casino Melbourne – This is probably one of my most favorite complexes in Australia. It’s big and a bit over the top, but it’s a great place to wander, admire the views. There is always something going on in this complex. There are concerts here on a regular basis attracting some of the top stars.
