Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful city with much to see and do. If you are not a native of Kuala Lumpur, it can be hard to decide what to see and do. This is a short synopsis of the 4 things I think you must see in Kuala Lumpur. This is meant as a guide to those of us who are not familiar with this beautiful city.
1. Petronas Twin Towers – The Petronas Twin Towers dominate the sky scape in Kuala Lumpur. They are magnificent pieces of architecture which tower over the rest of Kuala Lumpur and are currently the second tallest buildings in the world, and the tallest twin towers in the world.
2. Merdeka Square – The copper-domed Sultan Abdul Samad Building on Merdeka Square in the heart of the city is probably KL’s most recognizable landmark. Together with its neighbouring heritage buildings this is one of the capital’s top tourist attractions.
3. Batu Caves – Batu Caves are considered among those attractions of Kuala Lumpur which has contributed a lot in booting tourism in Malaysia. Tourists need physical fitness to visit Batu Caves as there are 272 stairs which need to be climbed to view the shrine. The base of cave is also popular among tourists because it is featured with stunning wall paintings from old times.
4. National Museum – The palatial mosaic-covered building on the corner of Lake Gardens is home to a complete history of Malaysia. Exhibits include mechanical displays, nature dioramas, musical instruments, weaponry and much more. Don’t miss the bookstore.
